OTW Barricades at Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport: 12 Years Satisfied, and Counting
Here at OTW Safety, sometimes a happy client means we don’t hear from them too often. Now, they wanted to purchase some more of our easily-attachable solar lights for them.

As the “Gateway to the Heart of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains,” the Gunnison-Crested Butte Airport flies in passengers from almost every airport in the country to bring eager visitors into the beautiful Rocky Mountains. From outdoor enthusiasts to residents, this airport has a lot of people passing through each day. With so much going on at this airport, Gunnison County knew they needed to invest in the safety of their workers and guests alike, both for day-to-day operations as well as the exciting new renovations they are currently working on. So, here at OTW Safety, we were more than happy to provide some of our low-profile barricades and accessories for use at their airport.
So, what exactly did they first come to us for? They originally purchased our low-profile barricades for an airport taxiway and ramp construction project in the Summer of 2008. When they first arrived, unfortunately one of the barricades was damaged in shipping, but since customer service is a priority here at OTW, they immediately contacted us and we shipped a new unit right away (at no charge, of course!). Since then, they have been used on multiple projects. They live almost exclusively outside in extreme conditions— from -30 degree winters to 80+ degree summers at over 7700’ elevation, and are still going strong!
