PEDESTRIAN FATALITIES HIT AN ALL TIME HIGH IN 2023 (CDOT)
Colorado has hit its highest level of pedestrian fatalities on record, with 111 pedestrians killed in 2022, representing 15% of the state’s total traffic fatalities. In 2023, there have been 51 pedestrian fatalities so far, up 14% from last year. Denver, El Paso, Arapahoe, and Jefferson counties have seen the most pedestrian fatalities this year. Typically, most pedestrian fatalities occur at night.

Pedestrians also need to unplug, look up and follow traffic safety rules. When we all share the same roadways, we all share the same responsibility.”

These OTW Safety Billboard Barricades work perfectly for our mobile recreation program. We often shut down a portion of a street to set up recreation equipment and these barricades offer a visual safety barrier while not detracting from the fun atmosphere of our program. They also assist with keeping the equipment corralled inside the designated site. We ordered them in a variety of colors to add to the fun and plan to add signage that advertises our program.
